What is our purpose?
To promote the interest and betterment of Shrine Circuses and/or other wholesome family entertainment, or programs offered to the public. SCAFRA also encourages the exchange of concepts and utilization of all related experiences by conducting anual seminars to develop and disseminate timely information for the benefit of the fraterity. SCAFRA also encourages the formation of Shrine Circuses, circus units, Shrine fund raising units, committees or other organizations to promote continuity and preservation of fund raising information and thought development.
Who is eligible to join?
Membership in SCAFRA is open to any Shrine Center. Any munber of Nobles from a single member center are permitted to attend seminars: however, only one representative from each center shall be recognized for voting purposes. Alternate represetatives can be named at any time by the Potentate of the member center.
What is an Associate Membership?
When this organization was founded, our partners in business were not a formal part of the association. At the annual meeting in 2006, the membership voted unanimously to create a new catagory of memberhsip called an Associate Member.
Since then, membership in SCAFRA is now open to suppliers of products and services to Shrine Center fund raising units. Although an associate membership does not include voting rights, the associate member will receive the following benefits...
- A membership card in the name of the company.
- "The Fund Raiser", the official quarterly newsletter of SCAFRA.
- Discounts on advertising in "The Fundraiser".
- Discounts on a "Marketplace" booth at the annual seminar.
- Inclusion in an endorsed listing for all SCAFRA members.
- The authorized use of the official "SCAFRA Associate Member" logo.
- Listing on this website with a complimentary link to your company's website.
- Secure access to the SCAFRA website provided by a special login and password.
How much does it cost to join?
Full membership dues are currently $250 USD per year. Associate membership dues are $200 USD per year.
